How to get from Prague Airport to Karlovy Vary

Karlovy Vary is about 130 kilometres from Václav Havel Airport in Prague. You can cover the journey by public transport with transfers, or comfortably by private transfer directly from the terminal.

How to get from Prague Airport to Karlovy Vary

Private transfer

The fastest and most comfortable option is a private transfer directly from the airport. Your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall, tracks your flight, and you know the price in advance. The journey takes about one hour and forty minutes.

Terminal 1 or Terminal 2

Václav Havel Airport has two terminals — Terminal 1 for flights outside the Schengen area and Terminal 2 for flights within Schengen. Just share your flight number and your driver will know exactly where to meet you.

Public transport

An alternative is a combination of bus or train with a transfer in Prague. It tends to be cheaper, but expect a longer journey and moving your luggage between connections.

What to watch out for

If you land late at night, a private transfer is more reliable than night-time public transport. With a transfer, confirm in advance that the driver tracks your flight and that a delay won't mean an extra charge.
